Sam Fox (1916-1999) started installing carpet as a teen before World War 2. After returning home from the war, he opened the first Fox Floors on Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn in 1945. Over the next 40 years, he opened multiple locations on Long Island, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. His stores were a mix of discount warehouses with huge in stock flooring selections and retail showrooms throughout NY. He passed on that old world mentality & traditions which his son and grandson still carry on in Fox Floors to this day.

Eddie Fox, the man, the myth, the legend. The 2nd Generation of Fox Floors. He started his flooring journey as a kid around 1959 working in the warehouse of his father's original Fox Floors in Flatbush, Brooklyn. He later went on to managing all the Fox Floors locations in Long Island, Staten Island, and Brooklyn. He eventually moved the family to Ocean Township, NJ where he opened up his own Fox Floors in 1988, and we've been in the same location ever since. With over 60 years of experience, there's nothing he hasn't seen or done regarding the ever changing and evolving floor covering industry. His knowledge & old school ways of doing things is the foundation of the Fox Floors true Mom & Pop business style.

From running the warehouse to helping customers, he does whatever it takes to keep things going smoothly.
